When funding are cut for colleges, tuition fees increase.

With public Universities, majority of money for operating the university comes from State government. When State is facing budget shortfall, money given to colleges are cut.

Can someone please comment that what is the total expenditure 2 years of study + living expenses=?

  • college needs

It is unfortunate that the states cut college money. The politicians should remember Benjamin’s Franklin words: “An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.” It is not only the students who get the interest, but also the state. More education means a better paid job. Bigger salaries mean more tax money for the state.

Excuse me, but I think these fees are for local students…
    What about International students???

    • Shekar Sharma

Buddy simple logic. If there is such a tremendous increase in the in-state tuition than we can just imagine what kind of a brunt we International Applicants can face.

I presume we are supposed to take this post as an indication.

HSB: I have been in touch with a few graduate school admissions offices, to me they mentioned that most universities will be increasing their Tuition Fees for obvious reasons but nothing more than 20 – 25 percent. But after reading this, I presume it will be higher.

I hear even a PhD cant save you these days.
