Following is the required Average GRE Scores for Department of Computer Science at University of Wyoming

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required of all applicants.

A minimum combined score (verbal and quantitative)

  • 900 for master’s
  • 1000 for doctoral

To be considered for admission to graduate study in the department, applicants must achieve a high score on the quantitative portion of the general examination, in addition to meeting the combined score requirements .

The GRE requirement may be waived at the option of the Department if you have a graduate degree from an accredited institution.

Advanced tests in computer science or mathematics are not required for admission.


Students whose native language is not English must also complete the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of at least

  • 550 on the paper based TOEFL
  • 213 on the computerized test including a 58 or better in section 1-Reading;
  • 80 for the Internet based TOEFL (iBT) including a score of 23 or better in section 1-Reading.

The school is sudan, khartoum university is no. one school in my country, graduated in 2009, and now I am on mba program in the same school, all subjects are in english, hope to have my master in your school, in mechanical engineering, have strong background in my major, so like to continue in usa, because I feel I need such degree in a country like yours that is the advanced where can I find the most technical ideas in all fields, could you please help , with scholarship and other you can do, all the best,
