I  want to know if there is an easy way to get a U.S. visa without being interviewed by a visa officer? If yes, what are the procedures to follow?

This is a very interesting question. So, do you think there will be an easy way to get into the U.S. without a visa?

US Visa Without Interview

There is something important you have to know – At Port of Entry in US, you will have to clear immigration and customs offices.

Recently, H-1B workers were denied entry into the U.S. after New H-1B Memo had been issued.

Usually, at a port of entry, officials will ask questions like:

  • What is the purpose of your visit?
  • Is this your first time to the U.S.?
  • How long will you stay?
  • Where will you stay?
  • And other similar questions

US Visa Drop Box

From the US Consulate, India – The United States Embassy and the U.S. Consulate Generals in New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, and Kolkata are ending the "drop box" facility for submitting U.S. visa applications.

This change in the visa application process will affect only the limited number of persons currently not required to appear in person for a visa appointment.

The reason for ending the drop-box facility is that beginning on July 2004, U.S. consular sections in India will start collecting fingerprint impressions from all visa applicants, except those traveling on official government business or who are under the age of 14 or those over 79 years old.

  10. Sometimes, yes. I know when i went for visa, few students got counter visa. Which means, you still have to go to the consulate, but the person checking the documents itself will give you visa, no interview. This happens completely random.
