How to reschedule or cancel TOEFL iBT Test?
A lot of students get stuck with rescheduling and canceling their registered TOEFL iBT test. Below is the step wise procedure to reschedule TOEFL iBT test.
Rescheduling or Canceling your TOEFL iBT test is an easy process.
The most important thing you need to remember is, rescheduling or cancellation of TOEFL is possible only when you have three full days in hand before the test day.
In other words there needs to be a gap of three full days between the day you request for reschedule/cancellation and the TOEFL test day.
- You can reschedule TOEFL or cancel TOEFL online or through telephone.
- Mail/Email requests are not accepted.

- Login to your TOEFL iBT account
- View Order on your account home page
- Click “Modify” for rescheduling and “Cancel” for cancellation of the test.

- Keep your registration number handy.
- Students from US and Canada can call at 1-443-751-4862 or 1-800-468-6335.
- Indian students can call at 91-124-4147700.

TOEFL Refund – Charges Involved
ETS charges for rescheduling TOEFL and refunds you for cancellation of the test schedule.
- Charge: You need to pay $60 in addition to your registration charges for rescheduling the TOEFL test.
- Refund: There is a refund policy associated with cancellation of TOEFL test. You get half of the amount you paid for registration back.
But remember this is possible only when you take the initiative three days before test day.

I am form Mexico but live in the USA I created my TOEFEL account and used my American driver license as a form of ID I paid for the test and I didn’t get notify about I needed my Mexican passport to do the test they sent me an email with that info one day before the test. I went to the test center very excited to do my test and took my license and passport with me but this second is already expired since I have 4 years waiting for a Visa change status and the Mexican embbasies are not giving appoinments to renew passports since the pandemic started. I have sent tons of emails and calling to the phone numbers and nobody gives me an answer or replied to my emails this is very frustating. it is almost 4 weeks since i have beeen trying to reach out.
I think it is not fair I just lost my money like that all I want is you let me reschedule my test or refound my money.
Yea something similar happened to me today, I lost all my money and it’s really expensive to be rescheduling another test like nothing happened it’s really not fair they should be able to refund our money or something that should be illegal

I have registered a TOEFL test in Jan., 2017. Now, I want to reschedule it to sometime half year later, for example, reschedule to September. But I find that only test dates in the following three months are available. Could you please tell me what I can do for that?

Only passport is accepted ID. Get new passport or postone the test.
