Can I Take Online GRE Score Printout for Visa Interview?

I have my visa interview on December 16th, but i have not yet received my GRE score card.
So can i appear for the interview with a print out taken from my GRE account in ets.org website, where my scores are printed.

I recommend taking the original score report for Student Visa interview.

Looking at the list of required documents at VFS. It has the following entry

  • Relevant test scores, e.g. TOEFL and SAT, GRE, GMAT or LSAT.

Update :  2013

ETS stopped mailing GRE Score Reports to test takers.

You can print an official GRE Score Report for free from your My GRE Account.

However, if you would like ETS to send you a copy, submit an Additional Score Report Request form (PDF)and US$25 fee to receive a copy.

Note: A test-taker’s score report is intended only for your information and personal records.

Also, I am kind of unsure about the time ETS takes to send scores to Universities. Most of the universities I am applying to have Jan 15 deadline. So will it be ok if I order the additional scores by the end of this month or should I follow the sooner the better policy.

I received a score report (Hard Copy) for my TOEFL test but NONE for my GRE. I gave my GRE on July 20. Can somebody please guide me as to who should I contact for clarification regarding this, ETS GRE or Prometric?

      @ Shekhar

Even I had the same issue. I contacted ETS regarding this issue and this was the reply which I got.

“You can now view and print your scores online free of charge. You will need to create or have a My GRE Account to use this service. Visit http://www.ets.org/mygre. You can also request one additional candidate score report copy by mail or fax up to five years following your test date. The fee is $23.”

However, 2 days later I received my GRE score card. Later, I realised that this score card was sent as a candidate copy when I ordered additional score reports for the universities.

So, I’ll just suggest that order your additional score reports for the universities and check your mailing address, you’ll receive a new score card.

After I took GMAT, I didn’t receive official score report by mail. I contacted GMAC and they said the online score report (PDF) is an original report and it can be used as an official one. I guess the same rule applies to GRE but I’m not 100% sure about that.

Hi, I have taken online score print out of GRE score reprot for visa interview. It is not advisable to take it but I did not receive the original score report and I applied for a duplicate one from ets which did not come even now(I went for visa interview in july). Since ur’s is on Dec 16, I think it is highly impossible that u get ur score report now. So go ahead with the print out (just tell them that u hav not recieved the score card and have applied for a duplicate one. Dont forget to take ur ets username and password just in case if u have to prove it). All the best.
