IELTS Test Prep

What is IELTS?

  • The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) assesses the English language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as the language of communication.
  • IELTS tests are held in over 900 locations across the world with tests up to four times a month.

Why choose IELTS?

IELTS tests all four language skills

  • Llistening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking.

The IELTS Speaking test is a face-to-face interview with a certified Examiner. It is interactive and as close to a real-life situation as a test can get.

IETLSTest format

IELTS test takers can choose between two versions of the test – Academic or General Training. All IELTS testing candidates take the same Listening and Speaking components but different Reading and Writing components.

Academic or General Training

IELTS Academic measures the English language proficiency needed for an academic, higher education environment.

IELTS General Training measures English language proficiency in a practical, everyday context. This version of the test is also often a visa requirement for those planning to migrate to English speaking countries including Australia, the UK, and New Zealand.

The IELTS nine (9) band score system grades scores consistently. It is secure, benchmarked and understood worldwide. Test materials are designed carefully so that every version of the test is of a comparable level of difficulty …

    Hi guys
I’m in my final year of BA Psychology Hons from DU. I want to go for my further studies to Canada for Psychology only, but couldn’t apply for masters as I didn’t have my GRE/IELTS scores(basically I was late). Someone suggested me to go for a grad certificate program which will give me 1 year work permit, and then I can obtain my PR and go for masters at the local rate. My question is, that is it all that easy? Do you magically get a job right after you’re done with the course? OR , how hard would it be? Am I taking a wrong step by going for this 1 year course?
    Please help!

    Hi,

After so much research in internet, I found a good website. I hope this blog will help me :).

Currently my wife is on H4 Visa and she wants to pursue MS
computers from Cal State University. She completed Bsc Computers and currently
she is pursing PGDIT course from MIT University Pune (Distance Education). I am
not sure whether she is eligible for Master degree or not. I tried to reach
university, but we did not get any response.

Can you answer to below questions:

    I am totally not sure
how to prepare IELTS, can you please suggest any website or materials which
will help to clear IELTS. Do we need to complete
IELTS before applying for the course?

How to evaluate Indian degrees to US equaling Degree,
because prerequisites for this course is marks in grades and course in credits.

Does she have to take any credits to qualify to attend MS Computers?

When she has to transfer visa status to F1 from H4 Status?

If we need, can we take a break in between the course.

    Regards,
    Murali.

Ganesh – If you have an idea, bootstrap and go on your own. Start Lean and expand.

Life is tough for a legal immigrant in USA, unless you qualify in EB1.
