GRE Analtyical Writing Score Required for Admission

List of Universities and Required Analytical Score was submitted by a HSB Reader. Hope you guys find it useful.

The Verbal & Quant score is not single parameters require for admission. Analytical Writing in GRE is another most important factor.

As you can see below, if your target is a good Engineering program, for getting into Universities ranked below 50, 4 to 5 is a decent AW score.

    But does AWA score matter most for M.S? As far as i heard (i may be wrong) AWA is the last deciding factor in evaluating your profile.

    Its really good to know about this website, really helpful in gaining confidence, knowing truth , helps in improving the application weight-age by some of the technique mention by HSB.

    I am Krishna from Bangalore planning to apply for masters in computer science in USA for Spring 2013.

    I am working in a MNC in software industry. I have an experience of 3.5 years. ( would 4.2 exp. by then)
    GRE – 308 – ( Quant – 161 , verb -147 , AWA – 3.0 )
    Yet to take Toefl. ( expecting somewhere between 95 -100)
    BE – 77.67%
    10th – 79.68%
    12th – 73.34%

    I am planning to apply for

    I hope the information provide is flaw because Missouri rolla will accept the students who have AWA in the range of 4.0 -3.5, will not accept if it is lower than 3.5
