English Skill

Typing does not reflect your actual English skills. From what I see, you stammer. Don’t you? Speaking skills need improvement. Your words, your sentences and your vocabulary is average. But the way you deliver it, we cannot say it by reading.

University Choice

Do not base your interviews on the first 3 experiences. SNHU and CCSU are not considered good universities. A reject is pretty obvious there. So, forget about the top 3. That is not your fault. It is university fault.

Over talking

Do not talk too much. Wait for the VO to ask you questions. REPLY TO THE QUESTION ALONE! Do not keep talking unnecessary stuff. He does not want to know it. If he does, he will ask, then say.

Visa Answers

Do not say it is your 6th time. They know it. They can check if they want. But do not run and say it yourself. That is a suicide.

“Please” – STOP begging!

You have no idea how much they note in the system about you. Do not say please. NEVER say please.

They are nothing bigger than us. Just humans. Be bold. Be confident! Be proud! When the VO looks at your face, he should think, “ok he deserves a visa”. NOT “he is begging for it. Maybe he does not deserve it”. Get it?

 “Do you have a girlfriend?”

Next time, SAY YES! That is a GOOD THING! Not a bad thing.

They are not bothered about why you go. They are only bothered about whether you will come back.

English is Low

When he said English is low, do not say “cold”. This is not a school.

Giving such reasons is not gonna justify your English skills.

He can see the way you speak and he can see why you speak that way. So be straight.

TALK to other people

PLEASE talk to other people in English. Watch a lot of movies. Speak to people. If you need help, give me your number in my inbox and I will call you and talk with you.

Seeing this experience makes me very sad and makes me want to be of some help to you.

Find a guy or even better, a girl who can speak awesome English. A girl, why? Opposite sex. You will be nervous. But that is the best way to get into speaking English.

Do not think I am judging you. From reading your experience, I can only presume this much. If I am wrong about any of this, correct me. The best way to speaking English is to practice.

Look at a mirror and speak. You will laugh. But that is good.

Because you laugh at yourself thinking about the mistakes you do when talking. Realize them and correct yourself.

Good University

Get an admit like UTA or CSU or something. Some good university. A good university will boost your chances a lot.

F1 Visa Dates

Book AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. 120 days before the first day of college only you can go for visa interview. Book 100 days before. And book a morning slot.

Dress and Appearance

  • Clean shave. Do not keep any style of beard.
  • CLEAN SHAVE. Plain hair.
  • No spikes or long hair or ponytail.
  • Nice formals with good formal shoes.
  • First button ON! Do not remove first button and go.
  • NO jewellery. No watch. No coolers in the shirt.
  • No fancy stuff like that bands in hand. Proper leather shoes. Proper formal pants and shirt. Well ironed.

SMILE!

Do not frown or show irritation in your face. Taking visa interview is their job and attending visa interview is your job.

Do not frown for that.

Be happy! Be excited! 🙂 SMILE as big as you can. And start with a “How are you today ma’m?”. Be polite. Do not raise your voice. But speak loud.

Just remember. All of these pointers are just based on a few assumptions I made! Correct me if I am wrong about any of those and I am sorry if I am wrong.

Just some humble advice.

If I seem rude, excuse me for that too! I sincerely hope that you can get through the next time. Do not give up. Not giving up is a charming quality. But do not be desperate. It will make them think you have some fishy business once you go there. SMILE! Always smile! 🙂 It goes a long way brother!

Message me if you need ANY help! I am not an expert. But I sure can help you in boosting your confidence! I am good at that. I can do AS MUCH AS I can in my capacity. I will be glad to help you out if you need me.

All the best!!! Do not lose hope!! 🙂 if you are destined to do it, you will crack the code and become a master! Cheers!! 🙂

Thanks a lot Mr Raghu, your advices are very useful and I have been following this blog for quite sometime now.You are really, really doing a great job.I will like to ask a few questions sir.First,I like to know if TAMUK or CCNY is one of the well reputed Universities by the VOs at the consulate? Can I respond to the question of “who is sponsoring your education” by saying that a part of the funding is going to be from my father and a part from me?Earlier on, I have specified that father would be the only sponsor but I am pursuing a masters in electrical engineering. Also, I have 3 yrs hands-on experience in telecommunications in which I have saved up some money to help me out there if a Visa was granted. Thanks for your time reading through this as I await your response.

    Sincerely,

    Gafar
