I know these details can only be given by USCIS but as an SME what date would you think of ? I have applied for H1B and waiting for 08-Apr deadly to know the cap quota count.
Quota should be over by first 5 days ( if not already filled).

One question; I have been applied in general quota but I am in CPT which ends Dec 2013. It it crucial to get H1B this year. One thing I alreay have more than 6 years experience in Software Development. In this scenario, if H1B 2104 goes in lottery and not able to get that one, Shall I request my employeer (IT Consultancy) to process for GC in EB2? I want to avoid to join college again next year if it is possible.

You need H1b first then you can think about EB2.

I believe that in order to be eligible for H1B visa you have to be in a specialty occupation. My wife is an MBA in HR from India. she has worked in US as an IT Recruiter on L2 Visa earlier. Is she eligible to file H1B assuming we find a sponsor for her for the Recruiter position.
