  1. I had applied for M.S. in Biomedical Engineering thesis program in University of Texas Arlington and NJIT, for Fall-2013. I have received admit for the intended graduate programs from both the universities. I am a bit confused as which one to choose between the two. My areas of interest are Neural Engineering and Bioelectronics. Can anyone guide me.

  2. i completed my b.tech biotechnology in april 2011. i’ve got my toefl score 79 and my new gre score range is 860-1060. could you suggest me, where i can get admissions for fall 2012 in biomedical engineering.???

  3. sir, My GRE score is 1070 ( 700 quant + 370 verbal ) and my TOEFL score is less which is 72 ( Reading-17 , Listening-12 , Speaking-23 , Writing-20 ) . I am persuing my B.E. in Biotechnology Engg. from an autonomou state Government intitute MITS, Gwalior (M.P.) I am in 7th sem. (final year) . I have passed 10th and 12th board with 81% with U.P.Board. I wish to do M.S. in Bioinformatics or in Biotechnology from any U.S. university. Are there universities which take admission on low TOEFL score of 72 ? Can I get scholarships?

  4. hi,

I am planning to apply for 2011 fall (Bioengineering) and am a 2010 passout  (BE Biotech) from one of the top 10 private engg colleges in India.

My toefl score is 110 and am giving my gre on sept 15th (latest practice test scores – v 650, M 780)

However my GPA is very very low… (2.5)

Also I am working on a couple of research papers and am currently working for an IT company. The research papers are coming out really well and might get published in an internationally reputed journal.

Kindly guide as to what kind of universities I should be aiming at. I am so worried and confused. So clueless. I am doing whatever I can to make up for the GPA. I did a part time diploma course in Bioinformatics as well.

    Please guide.

  5. I am currently studying in the last semester. And I've taken the GRE date for 28th march 2011. So are there any chances of getting good colleges at this time of the year for the Fall 2011 intake?? or is it too late?

Or is it better to go in for the spring intake? what is the scenario with spring? why do most of the people avoid considering the spring intake?

Are there any problems with the placements for students from spring intake?

    Awaiting your reply HSB.
