TOEFL Exam and F1 Visa Interview Problems

I got very less score in my Toefl exam for first attempt….. In second attempt score was good…. does it create any problem for VISA interview…..? Do they have any database for number of attempts of each exams like ?

  • Multiple TOEFL Test attempt and Visa problems?

Taking GRE or TOEFL multiple times will not create problem in F1 Visa interview.

  • Does the TOEFL test have cumulative score reporting like the GRE test does?

No. Unlike the GRE test, TOEFL score reports do not report the scores for the last three tests taken. TOEFL score reports include scores for only the last test taken.

Provide the highest score report to visa officer. Even though it has only one score listed in the report, if they ask about multiple test attempts, then speak the truth. Here is list of F1 Visa Interview Questions that you can use to prepare for the interview.

Visa officer decides if F1 via can be issued to you based on several factors. So, know how the interview process works, practice answers to all possible questions. You have to be worried only if your plan to lie or have fraudulent documents.  Put your best face forward during the interview and speak the facts and truth with confidence.

Hi. My academic percentage is 72 with 8 backlogs. How can I convince VO?

  9. Kavitha on December 1, 2010 at 2:11 AM

Hi. I have taken three exams in toefl. First time 63, second time 59 and third time 63. Also, I scored only 840 in GRE. Academic background is 72% with 8 backlogs(Took three attempts in each of two maths papers) Will it affects during my VO? What should I tell if VO asks why low GRE, TOEFL and 8 backlogs?

Go to visa training office, that is their are some consultancies which prepare for visa interview, they will really help you out. I know some students who got visa even though they had 22 backlogs.

    Hi,how you doing
you know what there is no problem with your low score coz i had a score of 54 lol and i got my visa so easily.
trust me if ur speaking skills are good with the chancellor they will not even look at ur toefl grade.however if they ask you why your score is that low just tell them that u had a bad day and u couldn't concentrate but since that day u was learning hard and improving your English skills.
    Good luck to everybody

Toefl Result does not really matter for getting VISA. You can take toefl exam as many times as you can. My girl friend took the exam 3 times. First attempt she scored 62, second attempt 67 and the third attempt 68, she cleared the visa.

Taking Toefl exam more than one time indicates that you are Hard working person and you deserve visa. (i know, that taking toefl exam multiple times is a hell.I think visa officer also understand that.)

    I have 1 doubt.
The academic score that VO ask & university take is last year score or it is average of all four years ??
