F1 Visa for Ph.D. at New Delhi Embassy for Fall Semester resulted in Approval without 221g.

I think the key to getting F1 Visa is to not mention about sensitive subjected at the interview if you can.

I reached embassy 1 hour earlier intentionally than my scheduled time, that was 10:30 morning since traffic status in Delhi is always vary.

    hi arvind;
    congo for Ph.d.
    Were your training and research work totally relevant to pathobiological sciences ?

    • Arvind on June 7, 2012 at 12:20 AM

      Hi, No its not totally relevant to the work which I have to do in LSU, Since biology is vast field and it is not as easy as pie to get PhD in that field in which you are dexterous and have experience. Although you should know your research interest but be adamant upto some extent only.

    Hi Arvind,
    Congrats on the visa. I wanted to ask you, on your visa application there is a section where you are asked to mention if you have had any specialized biological training. Did you mention your research experience in that section of specialized training or in some other section of the application?

    • Arvind on May 25, 2012 at 12:32 PM

      Thanks, Ya I mentioned research experience in biological training section. Thanx. Have a great time.

    • Arvind on May 17, 2012 at 3:41 PM

      Thanks srik. I think it should be above 1200 but other things like research experience and contact to professor also matter.

I am looking for a PhD studentship. Can you please guide me in this aspect…. I do not know much about the process…. i thought of applying for the spring , But there are only few universities who will accept applications for PhD. I thought of taking GRE in the first week of August…… I duly request you to guide me.

        • Arvind on May 21, 2012 at 1:33 PM

          Hey for PhD Minimum four year course work require either B.Tech/ B.Sc and M.Sc, your research experience would not redeem course work.
